RED BANK, NJ — A new “Pick It Up” team has been formed to clean up on the west side of town, and is looking for volunteers.

The Red Bank West Siders will meet at 9 a.m. every second Tuesday at the rear of Pilgrim Baptist Church Warming Station beginning Aug. 10. The group of volunteers will focus on cleaning up litter and garbage on the west side of the borough. To volunteer, please fill out form at Pick It Up by clicking find a cleanup and entering zip code 07701.

The team, started by Lynn Humphrey, owner of BizEturtle.com and member of T. Thomas Fortune Cultural Center, is also looking for sponsors. For further information, please call 732-982-6366 or email turtlelynn@gmail.com.

“Pick It Up” was started in Red Bank back in 2019, and has spurred similar efforts in neighboring towns. Another group, started by “Pick It Up” founder Adam Taylor, meets the first Wednesday of each month to clean up downtown Red Bank.
